Comedor Guadalajara is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, at 1830 S Central Ave. This unclaimed Mexican eatery is a celebration of traditional flavors and warm hospitality, beckoning food lovers from all corners of the city. If you're searching for a true taste of Mexico, look no further; Comedor Guadalajara offers an extensive menu of mouthwatering options crafted with authentic ingredients and a lot of love.

As I stepped into the spacious, welcoming atmosphere of Comedor Guadalajara, the vibrant decor and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes immediately set the tone for my culinary adventure. The evident dedication to quality was palpable, and I was excited to dig into the offerings. The burritos are absolute standouts, especially the Chorizo, Huevos y Papas (Mexican sausage, egg, and potatoes) and the Red Chile Beef Burrito. Each bite delivers a hearty filling combined with expertly balanced flavors, and priced reasonably from $7.75 to $15.50, they are a fantastic value for money.

The menu does not stop there; their lunch combo specials are an absolute treat for those looking to savor multiple dishes. The Shredded Beef Taco paired with Chicken Enchiladas was a highlight, served hot alongside rice and beans for a well-rounded meal that bursts with authentic flavors. Each dish is prepared to order, ensuring freshness that doesn't go unnoticed.

Complimentary chips and salsa amplify the dining experience, although be prepared for some serious spice! As one customer noted, the salsa can pack quite a punch, but this just adds to the excitement for spice aficionados. Drinks, like the margarita, complement the meals, and while they may vary in strength, the overall dining experience remains delightful.

But it’s not just the food that made an impression; the service is equally noteworthy. Diners frequently rave about the attentive and friendly staff, who are always on top of refilling drinks and ensuring that every visit is memorable. Bianca, one of the servers mentioned by a satisfied patron, exemplifies the warmth and knowledge expected in a true mom-and-pop restaurant environment.

Though there may be wait times, especially during peak hours, your patience will be rewarded with an exceptional meal that many agree is worth every moment. Comedor Guadalajara truly represents the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine, blending quality, flavor, and experience into every dish. Whether you're a resident or merely passing through Phoenix, a visit to Comedor Guadalajara should be high on your list. Don’t miss out on this culinary treasure; you won’t regret it!

Always great food and service. If only there hours were more extensive. The only complaint ever is there not always available, while it's understandable it's just not as accommodating. Wish they would team up with door dash or uber eats.

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant and was able to finally try it! I've heard from a lot of ppl that it can be a long wait at times and they don't take reservations. We decided to come right at 10am Saturday morning when then open and sure enough, they already had a line! The location is very big with a lot of seating. It's clean and you definitely get great service! The chips and salsa was sooooo spicy. I feel like a can handle a good amount of spice but this was so hot I couldn't enjoy the salsa. I got the combination plate with a beef taco and beef enchilada, that comes with rice and beans. The food was great! Came out hot and fairly fast. I also got a house margarita on the rocks. The margarita was not very strong for the size and it was $15. Others in the party also enjoyed their food. They were definitely on top of filling the waters and coffees. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Don't let the location fool you. This restaurant is huge and you will wait for a table. But it's worth it! Great service, excellent food and nice atmosphere. Would add this to my must visits for local food in central phoenix!
